Our Field Engineers are reliable technical contacts who support customers through targeted troubleshooting and precise documentation of service cases – both remotely and on-site. They take ownership of technical issues and projects, promote proactive maintenance solutions, and contribute to Evernex's ability to deliver world-class IT services through cross-functional collaboration and continuous professional development.
Your responsibilities include:
- Customer support in the field
- Troubleshooting, testing, and resolving issues with equipment and IT systems in data centers
- Creating detailed technical analyses at the 1st to 2nd level
- Communicating with the customer's technical contacts
- Processing and following up on warranty cases with the manufacturer
- Detailed documentation of completed activities in Salesforce and the Field Service App
- Performing preventative maintenance
- Supporting the execution of customer projects
- Participating in all on-call technical service
What makes you the ideal employee
We are looking for someone who combines knowledge, experience, and passion:
- Training as an IT systems electronics technician, IT technician, or comparable qualification
- At least 2-3 years of professional experience in the described field of work
- Good technical understanding and the ability to independently analyze and solve technical problems
- Affinity for hardware and knowledge of manufacturers such as IBM, HP, DELL, or similar in the areas of maintenance and service
- Independent work ethic and customer-oriented approach
- Willingness to participate in on-call technical services
- Good written and spoken German and English skills
- Good MS Office skills
- Class B driver's license
